Review: One of the names that come to mind when discussing CD/DVD burning is Nero. There are plenty of editions that you can choose from depending on your needs and it is a well-known fact that even older version of Nero have their designated category of fans. Nero Burning Rom 6 is one of those old editions and even though it sports less features than any of its successors, it?s still reliable and remains one of the go-to CD/DVD burning solutions. The interface is more colorful than Nero has usually familiarized us with, but it is organized and user-friendly. Settings can be configured from the Nero Toolkit. Nero Express is a simpler version of Burning ROM, where files can be selected in a simple browser similar to the ones in Windows, and Nero BackItUp allows you to back-up your files in case of a system failure. With Nero Cover Designer you can make your own CD or DVD covers and print them, whereas the Wave Editor enables you to edit Wave files (with basic and simple commands). Nero SoundTrax allows for the creation of mastered audio CDS. With it, you can start recording audio clips and mix multiple audio files, as well as to personalize them with a rich plethora of effects. Nero ImageDrive mounts your image files (e.g. ISO), so that you can access them as if they were loaded from a CD or DVD drive. To sum things up, Nero Burning ROM 6 packs both basic and advanced features for handling multimedia and CD/DVD content. The number of modules it includes is impressive and its accessibility and ease-of-use heavily recommend it.
